the design was alienating for me since i mostly wear the normal earplugs. i had another earbud but it got spoiled, i was very satisfied with that product tho. i bought this as a back up, but when i finally used it i cant believe my ears. it is very comfortable, and for people who prefer having their earphones over the ears rather than in, then this is the product you want. it took me a while to get used to it since i previously used one that is inside the ears, but when i finally got used to it, it's really an awesome product. you can still hear noise from outside, which personally for me is important.Customer Review: Sony ear phones

I use these Sony ear phones with a pocket radio on
my morning - 5 mile walk. They are superior to any
ear phone I have used. They are not ear buds so the
music or talk is not obsessive to my ear drum. Additionally
I am able to wear only 1 ear piece in order to hear
cars, etc.
Lastly, in my morning 1 1/4 hour walk, when I get home
my ear does not hurt like other items I have used.
The only problem with these ear phones is that you can't
but them over the counterr; only online...that's why I
bought 2.

I bought these headphones 8 years ago and am just replacing them now, not because they don't sound good, but because i have completely worn out the foam and lost one of the outside covers. Now I have two sets, the old ones I use at the gym, and still sound GREAT! I tried other headphones around the same price and didn't sound HALF as good. Very comfortable as well. I also like how the headphones are separated so I can use one if I still need to hear people. The only down side, I think, is that the cords are a little long, but some people might like that.Customer Review: Great Headphones

Great buy, there very comfortable, and they stay on very well, since I have owned them I have never had them fall off. They produce good sound and are very durable. An added bonus, I live where it's always windy and usually cold, and they do a grate job at blocking the wind form my ears and keeping them relatively warm so now I wear them everywhere.
The only con I could think of, there cord is a little longer then necessary, I can have the headphones on and my mp3 player can easily hit the ground with a little cord to spare.

I have to tell you that I've been using this set of headphones for well over a year now and they have been through countless rummages in my backpack, 40+ airline trips and plenty of accidental physical abuse on my bed, desk, etc...but guess what? They still feel great on my ears and the sound quality has been excellent with great balance in bass, treble and crispness. Best bang for the buck headphones ever and I'm not a Sony junkie so I'm finding it pretty hard to give a Sony product 5 stars...but I would be hypocrite if I didn't.
