Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MSXM8GS 8 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo (Retail Package)Customer Review: Lots of space for little money Summary: 5 Stars
OK, first off, the title is relative. I remember when Apple computers had 1/2 Gig HARD DRIVES, so 8 Gigs for photo storage seems massive! Forty bucks is a pretty good price for that much storage, even to an old guy like me who remember prices from the Sixties. We bought the card so our granddaughter can take all the photos and movies she wants while she's on a trip, so I can't yet testify to its performance, but my other Sony products (cameras, memory sticks, speakers, CD changers, etc.) have all worked perfectly, all the time.
Customer Review: Big and Small Summary: 5 Stars
With something as big and small as this is at the same time, you really can't go wrong. It meets any needs I have, including running inside of my Sony HDR-CX7 camcorder, which does require at least a certain speed for reading/writing data to the memory stick.
EDIT: As of July 20th, 2007, Amazon has the lowest price available...took them a bit to catch up, but wanted to update my review to indicate that I would definitely order this product from them and to reiterate my approval of the item.
Customer Review: Mass Storage at it's Best Summary: 5 Stars
We have a Sony digital SLR and a Sony video cam with a 30 plus GB hard drive. We purcahsed a Sony pocket cam (DSC-W200) to whip out for candid family photos during the holidays so we would not have to drag out the heavy artillery.
Having this 8 GB Pro Duo is great. plus, we can use it with all of our other equipment with the [included] Pro adapter. *-gigs a lot of memory for our memories :)
Happy Holidays,
Smacka
Customer Review: Huge amount of space Summary: 5 Stars
Using it in my psp. I put half of californication se1, the first four eps of the office and five movies and I still got room on it. Reads just fine in my psp and transfers just as fast as my sandisk 4 gig card. Without the movies I can put about 23 psp isos and a couple of homebrew games and apps... The isos range from a couple hundred megs to about 1.3 gigs. Anyways it holds a lot of stuff and it works in my psp. That's all I need.
Customer Review: Non-Sony 8gb MS Pro Duo Summary: 5 Stars
I was skeptical at first but went ahead and took the plunge due to the price. I have had Hacked MS Pro Duo's before with the Sony name on them and
had to send them back.
Fortunately, these work great on my PSP. I use them for music and video
and have filled them and erased them many times and have had no issues.
They work just as well as my 4gb Lexar and SanDisk.
Would definitely purchase again.
