Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MVCFD85 1.2MP Mavica Digital Camera with 3x Optical ZoomCustomer Review: BUY THIS CAMERA! SONY IS GOD! Summary: 5 Stars
Ok...i reviewed every digital camera for months...and it took me to the LAST MINUTE to decide. I was going to get the Mavica FD-71 (i believe thats the model #)...the order was all filled out then i clicked cancel bec. i wasn't sure...so i went with the better model...FD-85. My friend has the FD-71 and i always thought it was a good camera. Now that i have this one...i can see a HUGE DIFFERENCE in quality. For the money it costs...GO FOR IT...you will not regret it one bit. Take my review into great consideration...i will tell you the positives...for starters the quality is great..don't listen to any negatives about the quality because you will not be disapointed. Next, the fact that it copys to a disk is amazing. You can take all the pictures you want! You can also copy the disk right there on the camera and give it to a friend. Another amazing feature is that you can make short 15 second movies. This is a great feauture to play around with. It also has a audio/video out jack which allows you to use the camera to record a movie onto a VCR. The best thing about this whole camera is the ease of use. To be honest and straight out...an idiot can use this camera. The menu set up and the options within the camera can be operated by a young child. There are no cables to use and no software to load...just insert a disk and enjoy. Sony has done it again. All of my electronics are sony...TV, DVD, VCR, Receiver, and now camera...they are just the kings of electronics....you can't go wrong with anything they make. Just trust me...buy this camera..spend the extra money. Anyone who is involved with ebay should buy this for easy posting of auctions. My #1 use is for ebay and i will make the money back in profits from ebay for the camera.
Description of Sony MVCFD85 1.2MP Mavica Digital Camera with 3x Optical ZoomThe Sony Mavica MVC-FD85 digital camera features a 1.3-megapixel CCD for 1,280 x 960 resolution images. The camera also includes an MPEG movie mode and audio annotation for your pictures. The lens has a 3x optical and 2x digital zoom, plus an automatic macro mode for easy photographing of close-up items. The four-mode automatic flash features red-eye reduction and night-synch modes. The camera's built-in zoom, trim, and resize functions encourage manipulation of the images before they're viewed on your computer. Instead of using a traditional optical viewfinder, users compose images by viewing the 2.5-inch color LCD monitor on the back of the camera. This monitor also indicates remaining shooting time in minutes, a well as indicators for flash, focus, and other functions.Like most of the other cameras in the Mavica line, the MVC-FD85 uses floppy disks to store photos. At maximum image quality, five images fit on one floppy. At the other end of the spectrum is the e-mail setting, which captures 80 images at 320 x 240 resolution on a single disk. To address concerns about the limited number of photos that can be stored on a low-capacity floppy disk, Sony has devised a high-capacity solution. The camera will accept the MSAC-FD2M Floppy Adapter, a device that looks like a floppy disk. Sony's Memory Stick (available in capacities up to 64 MB) slides into the adapter, and the adapter slides into the camera's floppy drive, essentially giving you a 64 MB floppy disk The package includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a battery charger, shoulder belt, AV cable, and ArcSoft Photo Studio software for Windows.
