The Sony NP-BG1 battery is the original battery that came with my camera, a Sony DSC-W30. So the battery is original, but the price was good. I bought two batteries for about $78.xx dollars with free shipping, or less than $40.00 each. works out of the packaging. I would have liked for the software to be sent with it, but nevertheless the software was also easily downloaded from the site. took less than 5mins to do everything; from installing the card to downloading the driver. I am used to the older batteries and I can say that the technology has improved. I purchased two of these batteries because I couldn't believe that they would last, but they do. I could have gotten away with only buying one because of the long battery life. However, I do not regret buying two of them.Customer Review: Works perfectly

There's not much to review about a battery, but it fits my camera (Sony T100 Red - also great) and works just like you'd expect. In my experience, a second, fully charged battery is a necessity for any digital camera. I considered the quick charger, but with 2 batteries, it doesn't seem necessary.Customer Review: so far so good

nothing wrong with this battery. personally i would prefer my camera to use AA but battery life for lithium ion batteries is pretty good. no complaints here except for the price. but necessity made me purchase a second one, not because my other one died, just cuz sometimes i need a spare.
