Customer Review: A MUST HAVE - Great battery at a great price...

I purchased this battery as the primary battery for my Sony HDR-CX100, which was suppiled with an FH50. In combination with a 32GB card, I can record about 3.5 hours of footage at full 1920x1080 high definition with this battery.
The battery was priced at $99.99 on the Sony website, so naturally I was skeptical when I found it on Amazon for $39.99 supplied by "Outlet" retailers. Both Amazon and Outlet having a reasonable return policy, I decided to make a leap of faith and order it.
I recieved the battery in about 4 days, shipped via USPS. It was well packaged and arrived in good condition.
To my pleasant suprise, the battery was a brand-new original Sony product, in its original retail package and backed by a Sony standard 1 year warranty. I verified the serial number with Sony and it registered as a legitimate, new (not refurbished) battery with a full warranty.
Performance-wise, it works just as advertised. Although the package states that the charge will last for 4.5 hours, the fine print states that the 4.5 hours is good with a specific camcorder (DCR-SR45) with the LCD back light turned off. Having a camcorder that uses only an LCD screen and no viewfider, the battery charge lasts for roughly 3.5 hours.
Overall, I am VERY pleased with this purchase and would recommend this battery for anyone who needs a little more than just a stock battery.
