This battery is fake, I ordered one because the price was a steal and I was sent a somewhat convincing counterfeit. Expect to pay $50+ for this battery; it's price fixed and that's what a real one will cost.
NOTE: There are good generic batteries, but they are marketed as such, and don't claim to be the real thing. The proprietary InfoLithium technology present in the authentic Sony battery works hand-in-hand with your camera to give you an accurate battery meter. If your'e used to this sort of 1-100% gauge and it's reliability stick with a true Sony product.

I bought this battery after reading Amazon reviews and also after checking with Sony about the compatibility of this battery for Sony alpha 100. The battery cover also says it is a replacement battery for NP-FM55H. But when I charged and inserted the battery into my Sony DSLRA100 camera, it diplayed "Incompatible product. Use the right model". Do not use this battery for Sony alpha 100 camera.Customer Review: Buy sony

I received the battery, inspected the battery, everything looks fine! japanese writing on the battery; popped it in my Sony A200 turned it on... wow "it worked" 5 seconds later my camera is telling me i need to insert sony battery... ???? not worth paying less then full retail from actual sony!Customer Review: Do not buy this Crap..

Initially this worked fine as expected. But after 2 cycles of re-charging the camera gave the "Incompatible Battrey" error. This is a fake battery. Compare the original battery coming with Sony Alpha 580 with this one. You will see the difference. Don't waste your money.Customer Review: does not work for alpha 100

I bought this battery based on the description saying it would work for the alpha 100. When I put the battery into the camera, incompatible battery was displayed on the screen. They took it back and gave me a full refund, but I did lose my shipping cost both ways.
