Sony is again the company to look for with great products. I have experience with the Sony DSLR camers and the previous battery, (FM55), which was a great battery to use. I was loving the length of time I got from the battery but this one goes even stronger. This newer battery blows the lid off the amount of pictures. Once I could get around 900 shots now I can get about 1500 shots depending on flash usage and setup. If you need a battery with the stamina to keep pace with your picture taking this is it. It's even backwards compatible with the older Alpha 100 but the 100 battery will not work in the Alpha 700.Customer Review: genuine sony product

The battery sent to me was an actual Sony battery, not a third party battery. Came in original Sony packaging. The description said a genuine product, and it is. I was willing to pay the extra dollars vs the real cheap price I saw from other vendors listed on Amazon.
You get what you pay for. Not willing to take the change on some cheap battery that quickly goes dead, leaks, shorts, etc. I do not want to miss pictures because I tried to save a few bucks on a cheap 2nd battery. Now I will have 2 Sony batteries in my camera bag so no missed pictures while on vacation.

It's a battery so there is only so much to say. These are solid units that power equipment for a good bit of time. It takes alot of work to run through one of these on my A700 dSLR. I have 2 but I've never run through 2 in a whole day and usually if I've moved on to the second battery my arms and eyes are pretty tired as well!!! That is powering the entire system which often has very large telephotos (500mm) that take a great deal of juice to focus. My subject matter is wildlife or sports typically so the focus motor is always whirling but these batteries are solid.Customer Review: THE REAL McCOY

I purchased the Sony A220k DSLR camera, to upgrade my photography. Before my camera arrived, I ordered this battery for a spare back up. A friend of mine had ordered a Nikon DSLR and ordered a gernetic(sp)brand spare battery. He was not pleased with it and advised me to order the brand of battery of the camera that I was getting. The price that the seller offered, made it worth my while.

I bought the Sony Alpha 300 and got another battery as a backup (so now I have 2). I thought I would be swapping out batteries like crazy (we do with our consumer digital camera) but have been very pleasantly surprised. I've shot over 600 RAW+JPEGs with and without flash this week and the charge is just under 50%. Awesome.
I still recommend getting a second battery because you'll have the extra on-hand when you need it. It's just that you won't need it every other day unless you shoot a few thousand shots a day.
