We bought this monitor for our third child after our last monitor stopped working and have been using it for 3 months now. We have been through about 5 monitors over the years and have always had reception problems. There is nothing wrong with this monitor. The sound is clear anywhere in the house. This monitor was suggested by an employee at BRUs when I was returning another monitor. I have had no problems with it! Last night, I listened to my daughter breathe! It is very clear even with a cordless phone and an "A" frame house with a tin roof! I love that I can take it in the bathroom with me while I shower and know that I will be able to hear her if she needs me.Customer Review: great product

My husband picked this monitor out because it was Sony and thats what our other electronics are, a man thing. I think it works great, we take it outside while she is napping and keep it on the voice activation mode. The sound is so clear and it comes on if she makes the slightest peep, but others voices outside of her room don't interfere with it. I highly recommend this.Customer Review: Awesome tool!

This is one of our favorite, most used baby shower gifts. It was so simple to set up and we LOVE that you can carry the parents' monitor arround. It's also nice that you can turn it to "voice activated" so you only hear cries and not background noise. This is a must if you don't want to stand right next to the crib to monitor sleeping baby.Customer Review: great monitor

This monitor is very clear. I love the voice activation option so you do not have to listen to static all night, and it also conserves batteries. I also like the fact that it alerts you when you are out of range, and I have no problems going outside with it. It does come with a plug, even though some other reviewers said it did not.
