We have used this monitor for 3 months now and it is really good. Microphone is very sensitive and the voice activation works perfectly. It can be powered with bateries or with the included power cable. Battery life is very good.
Definetely one of the best monitors you can find in this price range.

After a lot of research on monitors, we chose this one and I couldn't be happier with it. We get great reception anywhere in our 2-story home. The monitor can be set to hear everything (even a slight sigh) to voice-only, and is convenient to carry around. I would definitely recommend this monitor.Customer Review: Great Monitor!

This is a great baby monitor! We used the Fisher Price "Sounds & Lights" montior with our first baby and all you could ever hear was static. With the Sony monitor, it's crystal clear. I love the voice-activated feature which will filter out background noise and only turn on when the baby cries.Customer Review: Thank you Sony!

This monitor is super clear and static free (a great relief after returning two other monitors which produced nothing but static!) I upgraded to the 27 channel version, though, because it has rechargeable batteries and the 9 channel version does not. I didn't notice any difference in reception.Customer Review: very clear

I was hesitant about this monitor when I read one of the reviews mentioning the range alarm continuously beeping. However, I have not yet experienced any beeping at all (have used the monitor for 1 month). This monitor picks up close to everything! It is very clear, and I am very pleased with it.
