Yep, same problem here with the dang thing beeping all the time. I live in a one story 1800 sq ft house. I can step out the back door on the patio or my front door, and the out-of-range alarm starts up right away. I can faintly hear my babies sounds around the alarm but sporatically. Now I'm shopping for a better one. Don't waste your money.Customer Review: Save your money

Such a disappointment with Sony! This monitor never stops beeping; supposedly, this is only supposed to happen if it is out of range or low on battery, but to us, it happened more often than not. When it worked, the reception was very clear, but when it didn't, how very annoying! Save your money; Sony has some changes to make!Customer Review: Horrible loud noises

I can not reccomend this item. I like sony products but this is the worst item I ever purchased from them. The monitor makes loud interference noises all through the day & night causing us to turn it off. It is useless. This monitor was the worst ever! The sound was muffled and had lots of static. If you turn the volume down to almost off that improved. The out of range alarm beeped all the time when there was no way it was out of range. I returned it for a Graco Ultraclear that is amazing!!!Customer Review: Very poor range

This monitor is only great if your house is smaller than our Tokyo apartment. Although the monitor is sensitive and clear, moving the receiver any more than 15 feet away from the transmitter results in intermittent and loud beeps indicating a loss of signal.
