We love this moniter. The voice activated feature is awesome - it filters out everything but her voice and cries. We can play music or white noise in her room and the moniter only puts forth her cries and gurgles. Its like magic! It does play some interference when the microwave is on or the cell phone is being used, but I think all moniters do this a bit, and its really minor with this one. It comes with two electrical hook ups so it doesnt eat batteries. We love it - it works great!Customer Review: WORTH EVERY PENNY..LOVE THIS MONITOR

We had a cheaper monitor and it was always beeping and out of range and the channel had to be changed alot. I got so mad one day I tossed it down my hallway!!!!
I did some research and have found that since we have alot of Sony products in our home, why no try this monitor. We bought it and love it. Never had a problem other than battery replacement. I even bring this out into my yard and it still works just great!!!

We love this monitor. We had read a lot of the reviews from people having problems with the reception on their monitors, everything from static to interference from cordless phones.
We decided to go with the trusted Sony brand and the 9 channels to ensure we wouldn't have any problems. We haven't been disappointed. The best thing I can say about this monitor is that it works beautifully every time no matter where we are...we have traveled the world with this monitor.

This is an excellent baby monitor. Others we tried had static in the background nonstop - very annoying. This monitor has a clever setting that basically keeps the system silent until a discernable noise or voice is heard and then it tunes in instantly. No need to pay extra for 27 channels, 9 are plenty and recharable AA batteries are a great match for this unit. Overall, outstanding product from Sony.Customer Review: Best You Can Buy

After getting the Soothing Dreams Monitor as a baby shower gift,I also received the Drive N Theater which is alot like Soothing Dreams and found the same problems with both and returned them both. I have been so happy with this one. The reception is so much more clear. I have had used this monitor before with my 4 year old daughter and was very pleased with its performance.
