I got this from my brother as gift, but I picked it out. It is a decent enough monitor. It picks up sounds in our room across the house at the smallest volume. you can even hear people in the bathroom and as far down as my sons room. :) We thought we were having that beeping problem when it is out of range but all we had to do was switch to another frequency and the beeping stopped. The only thing I was curious abut is how VERY light the monitor in the bedroom is, it weighs nothing at all, which I guess is a good thing. We live in a 65 foot mobile home, so I guess it isn't too far from reciever to monitor, but the quality is excellent. I like that it has a clip to clip it to your clothes and hangy things as well, they'll both come in handy when it finally gets warm outside. The only thing my brother had an issue with is we saw this same one at Wal Mart for 40.00, so if you have a Wal Mart near by I would go there first for this one or else you'll end up spending a few more bucks for it than neccassary. If ya got the $$ it's not that big of a deal, I guess.
