Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony NVU94T 4.8-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Traffic and Text-to-SpeechCustomer Review: I am satisfied Summary: 4 Stars
Everything works very well
Pros:
Clean and thin design (Japan has the best technology all the time)
Lane assistance is very helpful (When there are turns, the screen automatically turns into two to reduce confusion)
As long as the GPS is facing the sky, you get the signal pretty quickly less than 2-3 minutes
Bluetooth is a great help when driving. I voice-dial people and talk on the phone with no problem
Compared to Garmin, the overall volume is much much louder!
Cons:
This is very easy to use, but you gotta spend more time to learn to use it than other GPS
Customer Review: No Map Updates Available Summary: 4 Stars
I liked the product. It has served me well in the 2 years I've had it. Just went to Sony site and there is no map update available on the SOny site any more (was there in early December, but now no longer available. Called and the customer service rep at Sony said that there may no longer be any updates available for this product (not an out of stock situation) just no updates. This is poor customer service iin my opinion, and Sony has just lost another customer, since having to replace a product, that can and should be updatable, every two years just doesn't cut it.
Customer Review: Drive for a Living Summary: 4 Stars
Great Product/ Bought this a month ago before I left for Seattle/ I do custom installs for my company/ works great for city/suburbs/rural areas- I didn't lose my gps signal in the mountains- It is money- ONLY knock I wish it would show the building number at the Destination Points- that would if you go from house to house multi times a day- Still worth the money
Customer Review: review Summary: 4 Stars
This device is slow on getting GPS signal when boots. But once it gets signal, it works well. It has better accuracy than magellan. The split screen is very nice feature, u can hardly miss a turn.
Search by address is not very user friendly. It asks ur street name before the City/town name.
Customer Review: Great for the price! Summary: 4 Stars
I don't have much GPS experience to draw from, but the wife and I love this GPS so far. The only complaint is that it sometimes takes a while to lock on to the satellites. Other than that no complaints, but we don't use all of it's other features that much so I can't really speak to those.
