Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony RM-VL600 8-Device Universal Learning RemoteCustomer Review: Doesn't replicate menu left/right controls for DVD Summary: 4 Stars
Great price and works pretty well but it can't fully replace our Sony DVD remote. On the DVD remote, the left/right buttons have two functions (1) scan forward and back and (2) left/right navigation of the DVD menu. The Sony universal remote can "learn" to perform the first function but not the second.
Customer Review: Great remote Summary: 4 Stars
I was looking for a remote to control an Olevia 232V and Dish Network box. This one did the trick. Between the built in codes and the learning function this remote can pretty much do everything. I especially like being able to turn everything on and off with one button. Can't beat it for the price.
Customer Review: Sony Remote Summary: 4 Stars
Nice remote. I'm operating my Sony TV, Motorola cable box, Sony A/V Amplifier, and my Sony DVD player with one remote. Of course it can't do everything that the individual remotes can do, but it covers the basics just fine...enabling me to put all the other remotes away. It's worth every penny.
Customer Review: Good for the price Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this remote as a replacement for the RM-VL900 which is no longer manufactured. While this remote has more available buttons than the 900, I find it inferior. Still, if you have patience, you'll eventually get it to work rather well. Plus, it costs only 25 bucks. Can't beat that deal.
Customer Review: Remote rocks! Summary: 4 Stars
I use the remote to control my Samsung TV, Insignia Amp, Comcast digital box. Had to sit down and program each button separately since it did not find the right sequence for either of the devices. The option to program with the actual device remote is really neat! Loved that feature.
