The Sony SRF-M37W is one great little radio. Very few weaknesses. The reception and clarity are above and beyond my old Sony Walkman which it replaces. I use the unit for walking early in the morning when it is very dark out and I can find the controls just fine. After a month the first AAA battery shows no signs of wearing out. I've had many small portable radios over the years. I use them every day and they get beat up. This is the most impressive portable i've ever had. Don't think paying more for another brand will get you a better radio. I've had many of them and they just dont compare. The size is right. The AM & FM reception is excellent. Only complaint was Amazon's slow shipping and delivery via "free Super Saving Shipping" by the USPS - they did indicate how long it would take.

I read the reviews on this product before purchase. It appeared to be one of the best in its category. I was looking for a small AM-radio that I would wear while working. I'm in and out of buildings all day long. The reception is great in most situations. The size is small enough to slip into your pocket. I PURCHASED THIS ONE TO REPLACE A PREVIOUS ON OF THE SAME TYPE. THE OLDER ONE HAD THE TV BANDS ON IT BUT WITH THE ADVENT OF THE ALL DIGITAL TV NO ONE HAS YET COME UP WITH ONE THAT HAS THE DIGITAL TV BANDS ON IT. IF THEY DO I'LL BE FIRST IN LINE. BUT AS FAR AS THE AM FM RADIO IT IS STILL A GREAT LITTLE UNIT AND DREPLACED MY OLD ONE PERFECTLY. HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD TO SAY ABOUT IT.
