Customer Review: sound good and stay in my ears while i do yard work

i bought 2 pairs of these headphones from amazon for my use with my sansa clip plus mp3 players. these headphone sound pretty decent for the price. the big advantage this headphone has over the other headphones i have owned in the past are:
1. they stay in my ears while i mow the lawn and trim the trees.
2. they sound good and comfortable to wear for extended period.
3. you can still be aware of the environment while wearing these headphones.
since these headphones have no moving part, they should last a long time. i don't know why some of you here complain about it being short lived.
i guess i have to keep them a few more months before i can attest to the reliability issue.
in my experience i find sony product to be pretty reliable. i still have a sony walkman cassete player that i bought in the 80'.
customers should be aware that all new mp3 players use li-ion battery which have expected life of about 2 years. this is one BIG disadvantage for me as far as modern electronics are concerned.

They certainly are not bose but they are still nice enough to be worth it if light is a priority fo you like it is with me. I have to replace mine every 5 months or so because one of the ears gets too worn. I would pay more for a more durable pair. But for the price, you can't beat them! If you intend to be a habitual user and like to use them everyday at work in the office, I would recommend having an extra pair on hand. There is nothing worse than struggling through a workout and one side goes out! I have been using these sony head phones for about 3 years and love them. I am happy to see them on Amazon, the only other place I know that sells them walmart, for a similar price but this is much more conveinen). I use them for running 3-4 times a week. Throughout the years, I have tried other kinds, earbuds, the kind that wrap behind the ears, but these are the only headphones that stay on my ears when I do the eliptical. I just got these headphones in, and I am listening to them as I write this little review. I have bought 3 pairs of earbuds since I got this new Sony mp3 player about a month ago....I don't know what it is, but I think I have small openings in my ears.....as the other earbuds, caused my ears to hurt, and even was so sore, for three days I could not even touch them....but these, I don't even know they are there.....this is what I expected with the other ones, but a friend of mine told me to try these and If I didn't like them he would give me my money back plus....so what could I lose? I'm sold on them, and I'm wearing my Alabama cap over them.....roll tide!!!!! Hey! by the way I'm 67 years old, my first Mp3 player......although years ago, I bought one of the first Sony Walkman's......still have it, plays cassettes.....but these are the earphones to wear.....I'm sold even for the big hole people.........:)Customer Review: Simple, yet amazing

I have had these headphones for many years now. The ONLY complaint is that they do not last more than 18 months. HOWEVER - the sound quality is INCOMPARABLE. Throw out your iPod ear buds, or the other earbuds. These Sony headphones will change the way you listen to music. For me - I am very active in the gym and need something that goes with me while I run or lift weights. The earbud types are constantly annoying to me. I visited Target recently and could not find the replacement for my most recent pair (BTW- they probably did not last longer only because they are sometimes kept in the heat of my car in FLORIDA) so I purchased the Sony earbud type and I couldn't STAND THEM. If you sweat, they will fall out of your ears and forget it if you run.
Anyway, these Sony Headphones are the way to go. Don't let the price fool you. But you may want to buy two at a time, just in case!

I was looking for a good pair of headphones to replace the ones that came with my portable (the kind that just barely cover the ear and then not very well--you know what I mean) when I came across these. I was a little skeptical because of the price (I was under the misconception that good headgear has to cost a bundle).
Boy, was I surprised.
The first time I put them on (riding on the commuter train) I was amazed at the sound quality. They beat the ones I had 100% in total sound reaching the ear canal. This helped block out the extraneous sounds of engine and multiple conversations. Plus, the bass was solid as well. As an added bonus, they are incredibly light and are plastic so the headband doesn't scratch your head (something that has irked me with other headsets).
With this level quality, and for this price, you just can't go wrong.
