This is an "open in-ear" pair of headphones, the driver does enter the ear canal but it doesn't block it. With this you can hear sounds around you while enjoying a superior listening experience. It is great for sports.
The headphones fit very easily on the head, their lightweight design means they are comfortable to wear.
The plug is both angled and with thin end, so it will not wear out too fast and it does fit in my iPhone 1G without adaptor.
To top it up, the price is a bargain.
And if that was not enough the sound quality is very satisfying!
Do not expect deep bass but the sound reproduction is excellent and well balanced.
Highly recommended.

I LOVE these headphones. I will go out of my way to look for them in brick and mortar stores. It's upsetting that less and less stores are carrying them, so I have to rely on getting them online. It's a rarity that I find them hanging in the headphone section in the stores. The sound is great, and, if well cared for, they will last a good eight to nine months, which I think is fair for the price. Other headphones, like earbuds and over the ear headphones make my ears bleed, while the behind the head headphones have uncomfortable ear pads, and these are the only ones I can wear comfortably. If they could solve the problem of the sound going out in one ear (which will eventually happen), I'd love Sony forever!!Customer Review: Exceptional sound quality

I consider myself somewhat of an audiophile, and the Quality of sound delivered, cannot be beat on a headset this Lightweight. I am currently on my third pair in as many years. However, at about $10.00 a pop and considering the hundreds of hours of yearly usage, they are a bargain! I am at the gym several days a week, and am an avid walker. Yes, one must be careful not to tangle the wires, and eventually something losens, requiring complete replacement, BUT they are so superior to any of the "in the ear BUDS" and other listening devices I have used, it is well worth the annual "investment". I order them three at a time. In fact, they make great GIFTS for members of your "gym" family. They will thank you every day.Customer Review: A runner's best friend!

As a runner, I need lightweight headphones that don't jump/move/jar around. I hate ear buds (hate them!) as they are seemingly designed for people w/LARGE ear holes! These things are tiny, fit nicely IN your ear and provide great sound without annoying you on a long run! The price is fabulous too! Last time I ordered, I bought 4 pairs (whenever I like something it seems to be discontinued) and I just broke into pair #2 this week (after almost a year w/the others). I've run in these for 3 half marathons and countless training runs, inside and out. If I wouldn't wad them up and throw them in my gym bag, they'd probably last even longer, but eventually one side tends to give out.Customer Review: Just Buy it.

Just bought a second pair. Here's the short and sweet
Pros.
1. Cannot find a better value for the price
2. Very good sound quality. Blocks external sound decently.
3. Bass holds. I was surprised.
4. Very light. well made. Its a SONY afterall
5. Will not fall during running. The buds that came with Ipod will not stay in the ear....at least not my ear
Cons.
1. None in my experience
2. Few reviewers report loosing sound in one side after 3-6 months. Hasn't happened to me but if it does. I'll throw it and buy another one.
Bottom line: If your ipod buds dont stay in your ear while running...this is one of the best solutions
