I have the TG1 and my only real complaint was the lack of a wide angle attachment. I was excited about the announcement of this lens, but it's actually for the TG5/TG7 and I wasn't sure if it would fit the TG1. Then I ran across Techmoan's blog and he confirmed that it does fit. I just received it and I'm really impressed. It looks great! It just slides on, but it's a very snug fit. You don't have to worry about it falling off accidentally. It even comes with a dark brown leatherette case, which is just slightly darker than the normal case but still coordinates well. The only negative is that if I have the wide angle attachment on and I try to zoom, it gets to a certain point and then the camera can't seem to focus. But, I had the same problem with wide angle lenses on my CX7 as well. For me, this isn't a real issue because in situations where I need to use the wide-angle attachment, I won't be zooming in anyway. Yes, it means I can't leave it permanently attached, but it won't fit into it's normal case with the lens on anyway and at least it came with a pretty stylin' case for the lens too. Obviously, you can't use the flash with the wide angle lens on, but this wasn't a big deal for me. I'm just happy that I have a wide angle lens to use when I need it!
