The filter may cost a bit more than some lesser filters but one gets what one pays for.
This filter kit is complete with plastic case and pouch to protect the filter when not in use. Since it's a 67mm filter, that is a toughtful touch because a filter this large can get scratched pretty quickly.
What's the ND filter good for?
Think of it as sunglasses for your camera.
I use it to allow for slower shutter speeds when I want to blur part or all of my image.
This comes in handy when photographing a waterfall when you want that silky blur on the water with the rest of the picture in sharp focus.
It also works well in car races where you might pan the camera, staying fixed on your target as you shoot, creating the effect of blurring everything but the moving car.
Very effective.
Those are the two main reasons for me to use the ND filter.
You won't use it often but when you do, you will create a picture out of the ordinary.
