Recently my new physician suggested that, despite my general poor health, I take up walking as a hobby. His reasons are all sound and he believes that long walks are a vital part of a plan to reverse my ailments. After awhile walks become boring and he insists that I find a way to enjoy the walks because otherwise I will stop the walking. Sounds like he is correct.
So, I remembered that years ago I had a "Sony Walkman" and listened to tapes while I performed boring errands. I could not find my old tape player, so I looked on Amazon (where I look for most things I struggle to find). I did not expect to find a new one for sale in this world of CDs, MP3s, IPODs and fancy cell phones that have mini computers included. Luck for me Amazon still stocks them and I ordered one.
This walkman is perfect for my use. It smoothly and clearly plays tapes from my collection. The sound is much clearer than I remember and I really enjoy listening. Even my "classical" recordings play with a sound quality that is outstanding. As a bonus I tried the radio and got a pleasant surprise. The radio reception is very good and the Walkman actually provides better quality than my radio at home.
I recommend the "Sony Walkman". It is a good product. I may order another one in case Sony stops making them.
